Pastor Robby Olson
Robby has been our pastor since January 2013. He is passionate about pastoral ministry and particularly enjoys preaching and getting to know individuals in our congregation and community. Robby and his wife Jenni have a deep love for Watsonville, and you will regularly find them around town getting involved with City Council, as Watsonville Police Department Chaplain, coaching Watsonville High School Basketball, and participating in community events as a witness to how dearly Jesus loves the Watsonville community.
Hailing from the East San Francisco Bay Area, Robby grew up in a loving family of five and first came to know Jesus in high school. He received his bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and his Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Before moving to Watsonville, Robby served in four different Presbyterian churches in California, Wisconsin and Washington; his ministries in those various churches included youth pastor, worship music director, and evangelism director. He is excited to be on the journey with UPC to grow spiritually and meet the physical and spiritual needs of our neighbors.
Bobby Marchessault, Director of Worship Arts
Bobby has been our Director of Worship Arts since September 2015. He is an experienced musician and worship leader, and is the founding pastor of Missio Dei Community Santa Cruz, a unique expression of the Church in our county. He is passionate about the worship life of the Church and building communities that welcome all people to discover Jesus. Bobby and his wife Rachel have three children.
Marianne Keehn, Office Administrator
Marianne has been the church office administrator since December 2006 after she retired from a Silicon Valley high tech company. She is glad to work close to home and be of service to folks in her own community.
Bruce Rowlison, Pastor Emeritus
Bruce was called out of retirement in 2007 to be our Interim Pastor for 1 year. But, the Lord had different plans and Bruce served as Interim Pastor at UPC for 5 1/2 years! His ministry of reconciliation and congregational healing is deeply appreciated by UPC members and staff alike. When Pastor Robby was called to serve at UPC in January 2013, Pastor Bruce was made Pastor Emeritus, an honorary title that communicates only a small portion of our appreciation of and love for him.
